The Board of Penn Manor Softball is committed to ensuring the safety of all of the girls participating in the program. To that end, the Board has adopted the following policy:
All players (8U through 14U) who play infield positions (i.e., pitcher, 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base, and shortstop) must wear a protective fielder's masks. For outfield positions it is recommended. Catchers must wear catcher's gear. If a player comes to a game or practice without a protective fielder's mask, she will not be permitted to play any infield position.
All Penn Manor Softball coaches will be enforcing this rule.
Masks can be purchased either at a local sports store like Dick's Sporting Goods or online (Amazon). Youth size masks typically fit girls until they are around 14 years old.
